Windows XP Support >> Can I make a backup copy of XP Pro SP2 CD? Just in case the original gets damaged, is it allowed to copy the CD?
I just tried Nero Express and got unrecoverable errors towards the end
(simulated burn).
It's a full retail version, so I guess should the original be damaged I can
ask MSFT for a replacement?

You're generally allowed to keep one backup copy for just that purpose,
as long as you don't use the backup copy and original at the same time,
or install on more than one computer.

I'm not affiliated with Microsoft or a lawyer, but that's how I
understand copyright law.

Windows XP Support >> Can I make a backup copy of XP Pro SP2 CD? Thanks. I was concerned about those error alerts I got, wouldn't that
render the backup useless?

Windows XP Support >> Can I make a backup copy of XP Pro SP2 CD? Finally did it using Alex Feinman's Iso Recorder. Can't imagine why Nero
6.6 had such a problem.
