Windows XP >> do you think I'm safe now? Well, somehow my hotmail accounts password was compromised. I don't know how
being that it was 16 alpha/numeric characters. Anyways, I was able to
recover the account and I've so far changed all of my passwords of other
accounts and stuff that I can think of. I've ran spybot sd, ran
housecall.antivirus.com ran NAV2003 (with latest defs) and ran Grisoft AVG.
I've ran all these tests on both my laptop and my new computer.

Now, spybot did find some registry stuff but I didnt't hink much of it
because I found the same thing on both computers plus 2 at work.

I'm just wondering if there is anything you guys think I should do before I
freely type again and start entering passwords and stuff to getinto my web
based accounts.

The registry objects it found were

DSO Exploit: Data source object exploit (Registry change, nothing done)
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\Zones\0\1004=W=3
DSO Exploit: Data source object exploit (Registry change, nothing done)
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-18\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\Zones\0\1004=W=3

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-724517326-650719562-421554250-1009\Software\Microsoft\Wi
ndows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0\1004=W=3
DSO Exploit: Data source object exploit (Registry change, nothing done)
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-19\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet

DSO Exploit: Data source object exploit (Registry change, nothing done)
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet

I had spybot remove them on the comps they were found on.
