Windows XP Security >> What wasn't backed up? I just ran the windows xp backup utility selecting that everything on the pc
be backed up. It backup up 6.46 gigs, bnut the hard drive on the pc indicated
that a total of 10.2 gigs are used. What's the difference? I am concerned
that not everything was backed up.

Windows XP1036

Windows XP Security >> What wasn't backed up? Hii, there are few files that dont backup during a backup u can see the
backup log for these files! that doesnt effect the backup or restore
funtionality in general. plus u cant notice that thru a size difference. the
size difference u see is due to the fact that win backup compressed
everything to a backup file there by saving space that wud otherwise be
wasted during a backup.

if u are still unsure try a disk image / cloning instead of backup. eg:
casper xp this will create an exact image of ur present system to a
different drive + u can access the windows from that drive too just by addin
that drives info in boot.ini incase there is a crash. [

Hope this helps...,
