Windows XP Support >> Microsoft Security Download 928843 Error Hi Xantia,

Have a look at this MSKB article:

The Realtek HD Audio Control Panel may not start, and you receive an error
message when you start the computer: "Illegal System DLL Relocation"
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/935448/en-us

Windows XP Support >> Microsoft Security Download 928843 Error Hi Patti, thanks for the input, however I know all about the fix and have
downloaded it. My problem is that the error message is on the screen and
because my mouse and keyboard are not recognised I cannot click on the error
message, which would allow the machine to carry on booting, if I could get it
fully booted I could install the fix

Windows XP Support >> Microsoft Security Download 928843 Error Can you boot successfully into Safe Mode? If so, and if your keyboard/mouse
are then recognized, see if you can install the hotfix while in Safe Mode.
