Windows XP Setup >> Downloading updates from Net I'm new to this email list and have just bought a new
computer with XP.

When I try to update using Windows Update and going to the
Net, all works well until I come to the license
agreement. At this point, I read the agreement, as much
as any of us does! <VBG>, and it asks me if I agree, but
there is no place to answer...no place to click, nothing.

I just close the window and it tells me I can't install as
I didn't agree to the license info.

There is nothing cruically required of me to update, but I
wanted to add something for the MVP 9.

Is there something I'm missing here? (BTW, I didn't set
up the computer and have very, very little knowledge of
how it all works, so please be very percise, if you can)

Thanks so much for any help...

Emily

Windows XP Setup >> Downloading updates from Net The WU dialog box with the license agreement should have three buttons on
the bottom:
Accept
Don't Accept
Print

Closing that box aborts the installation as you found. <grin>

Please continue trying to connect, close IE, reconnect to the WU site and
try again, the WU server is extremely busy right now handling the load for
the Blaster worm so little glitches like this are not unexpected for the
next couple of days.

Sorry, just keep trying to reconnect.
