Windows XP Security >> last windows update XP KB840374 The last security update, XP KB840374, conflicts with my
anti-virus/firewall program. When the update is installed,
it prevents my firewall from loading and I cannot get
online.

How important is the security update? What exactly does it
fix? Is my PC safe without it?
