Windows XP Security >> SP2 blocking MS calendar add-in A calendar add-in that functions fine in SP1 is blocked in SP2. The calendar
is;

Name: Microsoft Calendar Control 11.0

ClassID: clsid:8E27C92B-1264-101C-8A2F-040224009C02

Any suggestions as to what specific security setting in SP2 that is blocking
the function of this add-in?

Thanks in advance.

Windows XP Security >> SP2 blocking MS calendar add-in Jeff,

Open IE. Click Tools, Manage Add-ons.
For the Show window, set it to Add-ons that have been used by Internet
Explorer.
Click on Microsoft Calendar Control and make sure it's set to Enabled.

If the issue is not with IE but an Office component, then see :

Windows XP Security >> SP2 blocking MS calendar add-in Hi and thanks for responding.

Manage Add-ons doesn't show a reference for MS Calendar Control and
therefore cannot be enabled.

Is it of any consequence that I'm not seeing the SP2 infobar? It doesn't
seem to exist.

I have two machines with SP2 that are having this problem (none of my SP1
machines are having a problem loading the calendar.) One SP2 machine has MS
Office loaded, the other doesn't.

Windows XP Security >> SP2 blocking MS calendar add-in Jeff,

To see the info bar open Internet Options in the Control Panel.
Click the Privacy tab.
Click the Advanced button.
Under Notifications and Filter Level, check the Show Information Bar
when a pop-up is blocked.
Click Close when done.

Frankly, I'm not that familiar with Calendar Control.
Did you check out the Google link if you are having this issue with an
Office component ? :
http://groups.google.com/groups?lnk=hpsg&hl=en&q=Microsoft+Calendar+Control+11.0

Or, go here and do a search for the issue :
