Windows XP >> WINDOWS HOME INSTALL SLOW Hi June,

The speed of installation is affected by many things.

1) Is it an upgrade to an existing installation?
2) Did you disable any antivirus software and disk utilities before
beginning?
3) Are you installing by booting the CD or from within an existing
installation?
4) What are your hardware specifications?

Windows XP >> WINDOWS HOME INSTALL SLOW Hi June,

You should disable AV software before you begin. How you do this depends on
what program you use, and what your current operating system is.
