Windows XP >> Virtual Device Driver failed I do machine embroidery and have several CD's that I am
trying to install on my computer. Every time I try to
install I get a message 16 Bit MS-Dos sbsystem error The
Virtual Device Driver failed DLL initialization. I have a
HP computer with XP. I have contacted HP and they have
recommend an article at Microsoft that is related to my
problem. I have done what it said and still having the
problem. My design install but I can't browse the CD.
This is a real mess, because there are patterns on these
CD's that I need to print on Printer Fabic. The same
thing happened on my new Dell laptop. I have not ever
experienced these problems before.????

Please, I need help

Probably what is happening is that the program you are trying to install
is too old for XP. I have a client who also does machine embroidery and
she had to get a patch from the embroidery program mftr. to enable it
to work under XP. Contact the maker of your software for updates and
tech support.
