Can't access "My Pictures"folder

Windows XP130
Ok I screwed up

I moved "my pictures" to a networked drive to save disk space on my laptop.

Now I can no longer access that drive. So when I try to install new software

i get an error msg that says "can't access\\drive\c\miks stuff\my pictures"

I have created a new My pix.. folder in my profile under my docs.. I have

run the comand line "rundll32 mydocs.dll,PerUserInit" witch seemed to

reinstall the desktop.ini for the folder. But I can't seem to change the

networked path setting for this folder.

Help Anyone??

Thanks in advance

Mike

Re:Can't access "My Pictures"folder

What's the value for the path of My Pictures under this key?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell

Folders

An admin account should be able to change the value (back) to:

C:\Documents and Settings\<Your UserName>\My Documents\My Pictures

(or wherever you want it).

Re:Can't access "My Pictures"folder

Hi Mike,

You may have to fix the shell folder path in the registry manually. See:
