Windows XP >> Backspace malfunction???? When I highlight text and press backspace in some Office
programs, the text does not get deleted. Also, when I
highlight text and then type new letters or such, the
highlighted text is not replaced by what I am typing. I am
positive I used to be able to do this. This problem arose
about two weeks ago on my computer and a friends at about
the same time. Is this some small time virus or hacker
prank? Does anyone know how to fix it?
Thanks,
Manny

Windows XP >> Backspace malfunction???? Sounds like you are in the "insert" mode rather than the "overtype' mode.
