Windows XP >> Pci.sys missing or corrupted I turned on my laptop the other day and I got the error
that Windows couldn't start because the file pci.sys was
missing or corrupted.

Windows XP >> Pci.sys missing or corrupted Well, that's too bad.

If you want to know what to do, I would just try re-starting. I got the same
error message on my laptop and XP suggested a repair installation. I
couldn't do one at that time so I just re-booted and the problem evaporated.
Try it, you have nothing to lose.

Windows XP >> Pci.sys missing or corrupted I tried rebooting and that didn't solve the problem. I
know how to get into the Repair Console from the Setep
Disc, but I'm not sure what to type at the console to
repair pci.sys
