Windows XP Setup >> windows update won't hi
Check this link
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;813444&Product=winxp

Also rename the WUTemp folder in C: and rename the Catroot2 folder in
C:\windows\system32

If you still cannot run the updates , we might also look into uninstalling
any Firewalls and then retry the updates

if problem still persists pl write to me at EMail@HideDomain.com

Windows XP Setup >> windows update won't Bill;
How doesn't it work?
What is or is not happening?
What are the settings?

Without more information, what you describe seems normal.

Windows XP Setup >> windows update won't "Thanks, Bill" = "Gates, you're fool programmers screwed up again."
I thought I was fairly cvlear on the problem. Prior to 8/19/04, I'd go to
windows update, the update applet would run, and a list of available updates
would be displayed. Now, the fools have redesigned the site so you MUST use
automatic updates and have some other fool service running. The latter
service was set to disable by default by windows. I set AutoUp to disable
because I don't trust anyone to play with my PC. Especially geeky college
dropouts who stole code to found their fortune.
