Windows XP MovieMaker >> Audio and Video in Playback stop Hi, my problem is that when I create a movie on the timeline, I can start the
preview, but after a few seconds of playback the video freezes and all the
sound stops. I've run a virus scan and nothing showed up, and I'm pretty
sure I haven't had any codec problems. This happened before, and I don't
want to reinstall MM again, so any help would be appreciated.

I'm running an Intel P4 3.2 ghz with 512 ram and a radeon 9200 256mb
graphics card.

Windows XP24

Windows XP MovieMaker >> Audio and Video in Playback stop What file type are you using? This often happens with files which are not
fully compatible with MM, such as mpeg's. Best to use dv-avi or wmv.

Windows XP MovieMaker >> Audio and Video in Playback stop Thanks, I'll try that and see if it works. Can I convert them without all my
imports into MM being lost?

Windows XP MovieMaker >> Audio and Video in Playback stop You would need to reimport them into your collections, but if you use the
same file names then MM may well keep the timeline the same, or ask you to
relink to the new file, if you are lucky :)
