- Windows XP MovieMaker >> Exporting Movie Maker Projects to other software? Is there any plugins/software which will allow Movie Maker projects to be
imported into another editing progoram?
I have played around with MM for a small projects, but have recently created
a 30min film, because I wanted to use the excellent automovie tool. The
problem is that it refuses to create a movie file (be it save to DV camera,
AVI file etc) - i.e it creates 98% of the file and then tells me I don't have
enough space/files are incorrect etc (which is not the case). I have tried
breaking the file into two smalled projects and followed much of the advice
which has been posted on sites about registering files. I've tried exporting
the file on different machines and still haven't solved what looks like a
common problem.
Therefore, I was hoping that it might be possible to take the project file
and use another edit program to render the movie.

- Windows XP Setup >> Unable to send readable messages in Korean or JapaneseQuestion
I just went WGA from Korean Xp Pro to English Xp Pro causing me a number of
headaches, could not get Korean here in the Sates for some reason.
The problem I am having is when I send a message typed either in Japanese or
Korean the people in Japan or Korea cannot read the message. It is all
garbage.
I have install every thing I can find related to East Asian Languages I can
from Microsoft, added a number of fonts from Korean and Japanese sources.
All to no avail, no one can read our emails in Korea or Japan. I am
wondering should I convert over to an OEM version of Xp or Vista. Because
none of the language packs work.
I set my computer for Korean and tried Japanese still the same issue.
Also all my music files will not display Korean or Japanese. I have to
physically go in and edit the files to redisplay the fonts. Still will not
work with most Japanese fonts but will with Korean.

- Windows XP Security >> trusted root validationIs there any anti-virus or other anti-malware applications out there
that do trusted root validation?
In other words, enumerate the list of trusted root certificates loaded
in any browsers on a host and check them against a known valid list to
ensure all are legit? For computers that are members of an AD domain
with a PKI infrastructure, either accept the trusted root for the AD
domain or (in an enterprise suite), allow the administrator to add to
the list.
Thanks,

laptop, both with Win XP. Computers are connected via Ethernet cables to a
4 port router, which in turn connects to a DSL modem. Both machines can

both machines, even though administrator login is used. Ideas?

Windows XP Perform Maintain >> opening underlined links
JGT
[[Doug Knox, a Microsoft MVP, offers this advice to readers who find that
hyperlinks included in e-mails fail to open Web sites:
"Close all open Internet Explorer and Outlook Express windows. Click on
Start/Run. In the Open box, type regsvr32 urlmon.dll
"When the resultant operation finishes, go to Control Panel/Internet
Options. Click on the Programs tab, then on the Reset Web Settings button. A
reboot may be required, but usually isn't."]]

Hope this helps. Let us know.

- Windows XP Support >> problem with re-installing windows xp home edt!!!!!Hi Everyone,
I use Windows XP Home Edt with Service Pack 2.
Long story short....
I had a problem, which I thought was to do with my Windows, so I tried to
re-install it.
A bit of the way through the re-install, it told me I had a prblem with my
install disc (can't see any scratches, but who knows). So anyway I restarted
Windows and it has worked fine since then (touch wood!!). Since then, when I
start my computer I have to sit next to it and wait, I get a screen that
comes up that asks me which operating system I want to start. I can either
start my original Windows XP home edition or I can opt for the Windows
Install/Setup option, even thought there is no disc in the drive.
I guess my question is, how do I get the computer to start up with the
original (and configuration that wasn't the problem) without sitting next to
it waiting for that screen to appear?
Many Thanks In Advance,
Best Regards,
Maria x

- Windows XP Setup >> Print Screen Windows XP Login DialogsHi All, Thanks in Advance
We have just set up a Win 3k Server for approx 300 desktops and I have been left with the task of writing learning guides for people on how to use the new network (users are used to working with Netware). I have tried the old Alt+Print Screen with no luck. This is obviously a security feature... somewhere. Is there any way to get/are these on the microsoft site/does anyone have these login dialogs including change password dialog screen shots for XP

- Windows XP Support >> USB plug-in, plug-out, soundsYou know the little dee-dum, dum-dee sound that the system makes when
plugging or unplugging a USB device? Well, just sat here now and my system
is doing this about 5 times a minute, then it'll go quiet for maybe 5 or 10
minutes, and then it may do it again (or it may not) - but I'm not plugging
or unplugging any USB devices at all. In other words, this is completely
random and for no reason whatsoever.
Any ideas anyone?
Cheers,
John

- Windows XP >> Relocating Documents and SettingsI found the Win2k solution for relocating this folder to a different location both during (unattended) install and afterwards. - Windows XP >> Is my graphics card broken ?Hello all
I posted a message a whila ago with regard to problems with graphic
hungry files not opeing on my computer. If I could ask for a bit more
assistance ?
Right clicking on my desktop and going, Properties, settings, advanced,
adapter gives me the following:
Chip type: unavailable
DAC type: unavailable
memory size: unavailable
Adapter string: unavailable
Bios information: unavailable
Thanks to info provided here I uploaded Everest and it tells me I have
an
"nVIDIA GeForce FX 5200" as my Video Adapter and 3D accelerator.
Belarc adviser does not recognise this at all.
I have completely unintstalled all nVidia software / drivers and tried
to start again from the nVidia website but always end up with an error
message stating that "there are no suitable drivers" on my PC.
My latest plan was to remove the Graphics Card to ensure all the
physical connections were OK. I ensured there were no drivers /
Software associated with the card before i did this in the vein hope
that my computer would recognise the graphics card. All seems fine and
as you can see, the PC is working, but still no sign of the graphics
card.
Am I barking up the wrong tree altogether ? My problem continues to be
larger pictures within "fotopic.net" not showing, some thumbnails (web
based) not showing. Unable to run already installed games (Microsoft
flight and trainsims). I get no error messages, they just do not load.
I have been unable to install new games. Google Earth will not run.
I am using Microsodt XP 2000 with service pack 2.
If my card is shot, any suggestions for a good alternative.
Once again thanks for any help on advance, I really miss Google Earth

- Windows XP Security >> private foldersI have a question.
I have had some problems with windows xp and decided that
it would be best to just use my spare hard drive and
install winxp again to recover all my data. I came across
a problem of not being able to recover the data that I
made private. I even tried to put my user name and
password to what they were on that account before, but it
didn't work.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
