Windows XP >> Windows Changes Disk Letters on start Every now and again, for some reason unbeknown to me, the
disk letters on some of my disks and partitions change to
different letters after the system starts. Is there any
way to lock the letter allocation so that this does not
happen? Thanks.

Windows XP >> Windows Changes Disk Letters on start In Win NT and Win2K you can do it thru Disk Manager, which in WinXP is found
in Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Disk Management.
There are several ways to change a drive letter; one of the easiest is to
right-click on the symbolic disk, then click on "Change Drive Letter and
Paths ... ." As far as I know, the only reason that Windows will change a
drive letter on its own
