Windows XP Security >> File download prompt with mapped drive I have a couple of XP machines on my network that prompt
for file download when trying to launch a network app
through a mapped drive. I cant figure out how to
eliminate that for the life of me. I have other XP
machhines and users with the same account properties that
do not get the download message. How do I get rid of
this??

Thank you

Windows XP1030

Windows XP Security >> File download prompt with mapped drive This is likely due to differences in the Security settings
of IE's options. The source of the mapped UNC may
not be recognized as being in the local intranet zone
on machines where there is prompting, or the settings
for the intranet zone may have been altered to always
prompt execute/save.

Windows XP Security >> File download prompt with mapped drive Have a similar problem.

I cannot find anything that mentions
always prompt execute/save
in the internet settings.

The prompt is causing much trouble with internal web sites
which have links to view multimedia content.
