Windows XP Hardware >> Dual Monitors in 'clone' mode using two cards Hi
I'm trying to set up dual monitor cards to allow o/p to a
monitor @ 100Hz refresh and a seperate LCD projector @
85Hz.
I need to duplicate the desktop o/p on both screens. I've
tried Matrox Dualhead technology and that does not allow
different refresh rates on the two outputs despite their
claim that it does (confirmed from Matrox tech support).
I now have two seperate Nvidia GeForce4 MX cards (one AGP
one PCI). But I can only 'extend' the desktop to both
cards, I can't 'duplicate' the desktop to both cards.
Anyone any ideas please. Apart from using a laptop that
has this built in :o)

Using XP Pro

Regards
Ian

Hi Ian,

Matrox drivers support this feature for several years now. Recently ATI has
made their drivers also capable of using several outputs of the card with
different refreshrates. NVidia support for multiple outputs was always below
par.
