Windows XP Setup >> Refund for Windows XP My Windows XP would not load on my sorry computer. It was
purchased at Best Buy, and there Tech rep siad the
computer system was insufficient BUT are not authorized to
issue a refund since it was opened . The activation code
can be checked.....it's not been activiated. How do I get
through to Microsoft to get my money back? Thanks

Windows XP Setup >> Refund for Windows XP Your best bet is probably to sell it on Ebay,
Most computer stores won't issue a refund for opened software.

Windows XP Setup >> Refund for Windows XP Maggie;
Contact Microsoft as long as it is retail and not OEM:
http://www.microsoft.com/info/nareturns.htm

If Windows XP is OEM, contact the seller, Microsoft can not refund
OEM.

Windows XP Setup >> Refund for Windows XP You may want to see if you qualify for this

Microsoft North American Retail Product Returns
http://www.microsoft.com/info/nareturns.htm

If not, then ebay might be a good alternative to recoup some of the costs
(or you can give it to someone as a gift)

Windows XP Setup >> Refund for Windows XP Alot of people go with the minimum requirements, which I
don't care what MS says, it's not enough. If you
purchases XP without insuring your system met the
requirements, too bad!
