- Windows XP >> Changing Printing Fonts in Outlook Express 6 on XP HomeWhen I print either incoming and outgoing emails from
Outlook Express with XP Home edition the font size of the
message body is very large 16 or 18. I am not sure how
long this has been happening but I just started using the
PC and can not find any way to reduce the Font size for
printing. The header size is a smaller size but the msg
body is quite large.

- Windows XP >> Reboot loop - can't see error messageI've been working on this for hours and hours now:
XP is stuck in a reboot loop. Can't make it to login screen. Just Welcome
screen and start over. There is a brief glimpse of blue before it reboots
and although it could be the login screen, I'm pretty sure it's an error
message screen.
Can't do Safe Mode or Last Known. chdsk hasn't helped much.
I'm in the Recovery Console off the XP CD, but I'm not sure what I should be
trying to fix. Is there any way to find out what that error says? I've also
tried in the bootlog and it's not there.
Thanks for your help.

Windows XP Update >> Cannot Install Any Updates
Ben:
Good show old man.
Yours is the most comprehensive troubleshooter and it worked! I had to go
all the way down to "Register the DLL Files" in your steps and that one did
the trick!
Thank you for taking the time to post such a complete troubleshooter.

Windows XP Update >> Cannot Install Any Updates
OLD!?! I'm not old... I'm not going to post my age but it's young [enough
not to have a job.] I've noticed that a lot of people don't fix there
problems tell they get to that step but considering that isn't even on
Microsoft's troubleshooting list...

Dear Cassandra/Amethyst,

- Windows XP Hardware >> printing on a remote driver on a remote computer?hello, I am in a mixup. Normaly when you print on a remote computer that is
attached to your computer you need to install the driver on your own
computer too.
For instance I have a windows xp computer copnnected via usb to my 1220 c
inkjet printer. Normally I would install a win98 driver on the w98 machines
so I
can print via that driver on the winxp machine. But I need a way to send the
print job to a driver that is installed only on the win XP machine!.
Why? Because the version of the driver for the win98 machines have a bug,
but the driver on the win XP machine workes perfectly!
I have heard about PRINTER SERVER.... how do these work? And HP says
something about print via the interent to a remote printer, anyone know
that?
Thanks in advance!

For the ones reading technical replies, I would them (if they are kind

me their feedback with another post (in the same thread of course), so I
will know if my advice helped them or not.

- Windows XP >> Remote Desktop Freezes XPI have a computer running Windows XP SP2 that is accessing terminal services
using the version of Remote Desktop that came with XP, not the new version.
I have been using it for almost 2 years now and all the sudden it freezes up
the computer when trying to connect to the server. I have 4 other compters
that are working just fine, just this one is having problems.

- Windows XP Update >> All windows updates fail to download and installI'm working on a Toshiba Laptop for a client and see that starting September
14th all automatic updates fail with the exception of Office and Windows
Defender. I have tried to install updates manually and they fail. It will
download the new IE7, but when it starts the installation it fails also. I
have removed Norton Internet Security from the system with same results. I
have removed Windows Defender, also with same results. I have reset all of
the connection, security, and privacy settings in IE and still all Windows
updates fail. I have run tools to check errors on the registry as well as
scanned and removed any spyware and still updates fail. Any suggestions?
Office updates and Windows defender updates with download and install, just
not any Windows OS updates. The system is running Win XP Home SP2. I cant
seem to find what changed in September that is causing this issue.
