Windows XP Perform Maintain >> ultimate "remove programs" When I go into the "add/remove programs" section it has
several programs in there that are "unresponsive." That
is, I click on "Fisher-Price Big Action Construction" and
it says, "Unable to locate the login file 'c:\apps\kids
0801\DeIsL1.isu'. Uninstallation will not continue."

It's most probable that I did a lousy "uninstall by hand"
a few years ago, and the system still thinks it is
there. However, when I search for "Fisher" anywhere on
my computer it doesn't come up.

Is there something that tracks down these "add/remove
program" identifier files and then lets me get rid of
them? Or is there a better plan? Thank you.

Windows XP Perform Maintain >> ultimate "remove programs" It is best to go to all programs and look for a uninstall
feature for the program you want to remove first. If
there is not one, then ADD/REMOVE is the way to go.
Sometimes if another program is using part of what your
uninstalling, it will not uninstall that portion. The
easiest way around this, would be to install the program
again, and then try to uninstall again, look for a
uninstall listing for it in all programs...Good luck.
