Windows XP >> lost password Also, once back on the computer, it is time to contact the company's
attorney to find out what can be done to the secretary for sabotage to the
computer and locating all the backups. At a minimum theft was involved (the
backup disks) and many other criminal issues are involved when someone does
this.

Windows XP >> lost password "At a minimum theft was involved"
Theft can be very difficult to prove, and it is not uncommon for small
businesses to lose media for their computers.
The burden of proof is on the company if they choose to make such a
case.
All that seems to be known is "All backup discs seem to be missing".

As for the passwords...
What did the secretary say when asked?
This is possible, but even then it is problematic depending on exactly
who contacted the secretary and under what circumstances.
Again, the burden of proof is on the company.

Windows XP >> lost password And that is exactly why I told the OP to contact the company's attorney
instead of the police initially.
