Windows XP Support >> Backing up System Files I prefer Acronis solution. To my mind it's more convenient and fast.
Its file-based backup option enables you to backup and restore
individual files and folders, like your My Documents folder or a
specific file, like your latest tax return. A software wizard walks you
through all of the steps

Windows XP Support >> Backing up System Files Hi Dave,

That's what System Restore does.

All About System Restore in WinXP
http://bertk.mvps.org

Imaging software such as Acronis True Image creates a mirror image of a
partition and allows it to be saved to disk or burned to a CD/DVD for
later use.

Windows XP Support >> Backing up System Files probably the easiest is going to tweakhound.com and looking up how to set a
system restore point. my version of windows xp home did not come with a
backup utility (value added package) and I want to download IE7. The first
thing it tells u to do is back up your important files. If u don't want to
purchase a back up utility this may be the easiest way.
