Windows XP Security >> Active Directory Utility I am able to see the "disabled" accounts with the red X on the account name
but a co-worker only sees the icon for user but it is not marked as being
disabled.

I know this has to be a quick fix.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Windows XP Security >> Active Directory Utility It sounds like your Active Directory has not replicated yet. Normally it
happens fairly quickly such as every fifteen minutes I believe with some
events even much quicker but if you are using Active Directory sites or
there are problems with domain controller replication this can take longer
[sites replicate on the schedule you configured] or not happen at all. If
you look in the logs on the domain controllers via Event Viewer you will see
errors/warnings if there are AD replication problems as would running the
support tool dcdiag. The support tool replmon can be used to monitor and
attempt to force AD replication. --- Steve

Windows XP Security >> Active Directory Utility We are both in at the same division of the company and we are both pulling up
Active Directory Users and Computers utility. I administor the network and
when I disable an account they are not able to see the user name with a red
"X" over the user icon on the name. I see them immediatly. We weren't sure
if this was a filter issue or not in his AD utility.

Hope this explains it better.

Thanks in advance for anyone else that might know the solution ! ! ! ! ! !

Windows XP Security >> Active Directory Utility Yes but are you using the same domain controller assuming there is more then
one domain controller?? In ADUC you can right click the domain and then
select connect to domain controller. I would first try with both of you
using the PDC fsmo. Does the co worker see the guest account as disabled??
You may also want to post in the active_directory.server newsgroup. ---
