Windows XP Setup >> vacating an embedded search provider just upgraded to windows xp. previously used system in the UK and the system
is stuck with "internet explorer provided by BTopenworld" and often the
searchs relate to UK web. I just did upgrade to Internet explorer 7 from
microsoft downloads. The BT openworld thing is still there.
How can i get this out of the system?
I'm in the USA now. TG

Windows XP Setup >> vacating an embedded search provider At a Command Prompt issue:

rundll32.exe iedkcs32.dll,Clear

What you have is called a "Branded" IE. Do a search for IE Branding or
"Unbranding" IE and you will find more information.
