critical updates

Windows XP >> critical updates Is it possible to download the updates and save them to a
cd so I do not have to redownload them if I have to
reinstall windows like I did the other day?

When at the update site, click on the link to personalize the site. Add
"Windows Update Catalog" and save your preference. Back at the main update
page, you will now see a new link for the catalog. Click on that and it
will take you to the site where you can download the updates and save them
to disk.

Yes, on the windowsupdate page on left hand side, you need to enable
Personal settings and then the Windows Catalog will appear, click on
this and then you can select which updates to download and specify a
folder to download them to.
