Using Laptop on 2 Networks

I currently have an IBM Laptop and a Dell Desktop

computer, both running XP. How can I configure them so

that I can transfer files onto the Laptop at work (the

work computer uses Win2K), then bring it home and

transfer them to the desktop and vice versa? At present,

neither computer will accept any changes to the existing

Broadband setup, so I cannot even directly network them.

I will be investing in a router to assist at home, but

need to transfer about 20GB of files onto and out of the

Laptop for work.
