User groups not recognized as the target audience

We are experiencing an odd behavior. There are some user groups, which are not recognized as valid target audiences, even though the are defined in the portal. It seems to be related to the names of the groups.

For example, if I set the target audiences as:
Salesman Administrator, Salesman

the second group won't be recognized. Something like this:

As anyone experienced something similar Any ideas
