When I try to route a document to a records center document library with required column (date/time) MOSS 2007 throws an error instead of prompting me for the missing information. If if remove the required constraint on the column everything works fine.

Make sure the person who is submitting the record is part of a group that has the the "Records Center Submission Completion" permission level.
