Strange Guest Folders

Windows XP920
My XP Pro machine will mysteriously create 42 empty folders in C:\Documents and Settings. They are called

Guest . "full computer name". Norton shows no problems. The first time I deleted them. Then a week later they came back. Guest account has never been enabled. Four administrator accounts on the machine only. What could be creating these folders

Thank for the help

Re:Strange Guest Folders

Sounds like someone is hacking into your system. Do you

have a firewall application? If not I would highly

suggest you get one and install it immediately. I use

Norton's internet Security and it has been very good about

letting me know if someone unauthorized is trying to get

in my system, McAfees has one as well. www.zonelabs.com

has a free one that works very well also. Also download a

spyware detector program and run it. Spybot and Adware

are two of the freebies that work very well. Also make

sure that you have downloaded and applied all of

Microsofts critcal patches from their update web site.

Good Luck.
