Windows XP Support >> Sharing a Printer via a USB Port? I have a new Brother 5250 Laser printer that has 3 interface ports; a
USB 2.0, parallel, and network ports. Currently I have a network with
two PCs on a hard wired Ethernet DSL?Router.

Rather than invest in a new Router with a Print Server, can I use a USB
Hub 'in reverse'? -- That is connect my 2 PCs to tthe USB Hub and have
the 'Host' be the printer???? Or should I investigate if the printer
can accept 2 different interfaces at the same time (i.e. setup one of
my PCs to attach to it via its parallel connnection, and the other via
its USB port?)

My thanks in advance.

Windows XP Support >> Sharing a Printer via a USB Port? NO! But you can set up the two PCs onto the same Workgroup and "share"
the printer off one of the PCs.

It is not recommended to you two interface connections on the printer.
You can/will get a "mixed up" print out if/when BOTH PCs request to
print.
