Windows XP Perform Maintain >> Problem with installing an update Hello!

My computer automatically downloads updates from
Microsoft. For the past month, it downloads an update,
but I am unable to install it because I am getting the
following error:

"MDAC Hotfix Installer has encountered a problem and
needs to close."

There is a link to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base
Article:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=837188

Under "Resolution", it says to "Delete the Dahotfix.log
from the C:\WINDOWS folder or the C:\WINNT folder." I am
unable to find this file!

Thanks ahead of time!

Windows XP Perform Maintain >> Problem with installing an update Hi, Kevin,
I used the search feature of Windows XP Home and found
the Dahotfix.log in C:\WINDOWS folder - just as the KBA
said. Did you search manually, or did you use the search
feature? Suggestion: If you haven't used the search
feature, try that.
Good luck!
