customize >> Can user and admin have the same IE? Hi,
I'd like to have my user account and Administrator account
basically use the same IE or same IE "browsing
experience", in other words, have the same toolbar menus,
same Favorites, etc.
Similarly, when I install theGoogle Toolbar as Admin, it
is not installed for my user account. Can this be
accomplished?
(It'd be nice if they could have the same Desktop, too,
but one thing at a time - I'd like XP to appear no
different between these accounts.)

Windows XP1083

customize >> Can user and admin have the same IE? Just use the file and settings transfer wizard - collect the settings from
the profile you like, and apply them to the other. They won't keep lined up,
however - you'll need to modify both as you want to change them. If you keep
two accounts because one is an admin and the other is not (which is a good
policy, btw) you may want to play with the runas command - that way, you can
keep your one desktop, and just execute some programs using admin access
when you need to.

customize >> Can user and admin have the same IE? Thanks for the tip.
As I run the wizard it seems that all it is going to do is
transfer the settings from my Admin acct to my user acct
in a one way transfer.
What I'm trying to do is have those either dynamically
linked (so that when I add a Favorite as a user, I will
see that favorite when I log in as Admin and vice versa)
or to use the same instance of IE.
I could use the runas command, but I was hoping for
something more seemless. I use that now for some programs
that require Admin rights, so I'm sorta used to it.
