Show favorites as multiple columns - Start/Favorites

Windows XP Support >> Show favorites as multiple columns - Start/Favorites When viewing "favorites" , you get a long list that scrolls off the bottom or
top of screen (if you have lots of favorites... i do). I would like not to
have to scroll but rather show favorites as multiple columns (like in
Netscape browser).

In the future, please cross-post instead of multi-posting.
Makes it easier on those who read many different newsgroups and easier on
you when you come back looking for an answer.

The better way (IMHO) is actually just to pick ONE newsgroup and post there
and wait for an answer - but more and more people feel it necessary to post
in many these days.

As for your question:

Don't think you can.
You should likely make sub-folders.. throw a little organization into the
mix. That way you can make your own "columns".

I haven't tried this so I don't know if it works but...

Right-click on the taskbar and select "Properties"...
Click the "Start Menu" tab at the top of the panel...
Click the "Customise" button...
Click the "Advanced" tab at the top of the panel...
Scroll the list down to "Scroll Programs" and un-check it...
Confirm by clicking "OK" on the open panels.

To stop the scrolling of the menu, use Internet Options> Advanced> Settings
and remove check box from "enable Personalized Favorites Menu."

Like Shannon, I would recommend using subfolders to manage a very long list
of favorites.
