Windows XP Support >> Menu item lost Hi Xinyin,

>> After move my documents to another place

Which method did you use to move the "My Documents" folder. For instance, if
you've relocated them to a removable drive, and if the removable drives are
inaccessible by Windows (during startup), the links will remain missing in
the Start menu.

Another problem doubts me is that when i restarted it today, my music
appears on the start menu but there are TWO folder named my music appeared in
my documents folder. When i directed to the folder by the dir command, there
is only ONE item named my music.

i'm sure it's not the cause of the virus or malicious softwares.

Okie. Can you verify the shell folder paths in the registry? The default
values are given here:

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/usershellfolders.htm

Check the paths for My Documents, My Music and My Pictures.
