Corrupt Restoration Point.. It happens and unfortunately, it means they are
worthless to you:

(This, of course, will erase any previous restore point you have.)

Turn off System Restore.

Reboot.

Turn on System Restore.

Make a Manual Restoration Point.

Windows XP Perform Maintain >> system restore Hi Leo,
This happened with me too and I later found out that Real
Player was affecting the restore points and deleting them
altogether. I uninstalled Real Player and have had no
problems since. I don't know if this will help.
