Windows XP Network >> site address changes when trying to connect-unable to connect My system is WINDOWS XP Home and I connect to the net using DSL. When I try
to connect to one web address -the only one so far where this occurs- the
address appears to change during connection, and the connection fails. The
address is: wfubmc.edu (given to me over the phone). Both google and msn
produce the correct, and identical site- Wake Forrest University Baptist
Medical Center. The address under the title is: www1.wfubmc.edu/=34k... .I
click this site and the address in the address bar reads:
http://www1.wfubmc.edu/home/homenoflash/, and at the bottom reads: Opening
page homenoflash at www1.wfubmc.edu - ! and clicks and pulses like it is
particially loading but is blocked. I recently spoke with someone there about
the problem but have'nt heard back from them. I run norton antivirus along
with spybot,Ad-Aware,and Spywareblaster for security. If you have info on
this problem please advise me. Thanks,

I typed "www.wfubmc.edu" into my browser's addressbar and it correctly
resolves to:

http://www1.wfubmc.edu/

This is nothing to worry about and the site loads correctly. I then went
to the second site, and it also works well. I believe the problem you
are having is that since you are missing Macromedia Flash Player, the
site redirects your browser to the "noflash" site. Get the free Flash
Player from the downloads section at www.macromedia.com.
