WU works for admins only, yes. You didn't mention whether you had a specific
error message when using it (v4 is still in use).

Windows XP Update >> Windows Update - administrators only? Okey, i get this:

"Administrators Only

To install items from Windows Update, you must be logged on as an
administrator or a member of the Administrators group. If your computer is
connected to a network, network policy settings may also prevent you from
completing this procedure... " .

And I found help for this at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;316524 , but for
winXP, and I have win2000.

Any ideas?
