Windows XP Update >> Windows Genuine Validation Tool Hi, Just wondering how this new Validation works with the pirated corporate
copies of XP Pro?
Can you purchase a key from Microsoft online for $281 and it will work on
these copies of Pro?

I did one for a new customer last week using change product key from a XP
Pro SP-2 OEM and the key was rejected?
I have a copy of this corporate version running on my virtual pc for testing
purposes and the only thing that would work is doing a repair install and
using the key provided, is there a quicker way?
what is this KeyUpdateTool.exe used for?, I tried using it also and the key
was rejected is there a special key Microsoft provides you that will work?

What annoys me the most is as a system builder, I have had no warning or
information about this from Microsoft.

Windows XP981

Windows XP Update >> Windows Genuine Validation Tool Clayton, Microsoft told me to use the tool form this link:
http://microsoft.com/genuine/purchase/UpdateInstructions.aspx & to enter the
valid product key from the COA. I could n not download the necessary files
so it did not work for me. If you can get to the screen where you enter the
product key, this may work for you. Give it a try. Good luck.

Windows XP Update >> Windows Genuine Validation Tool The KeyUpdateTool.exe runs fine, it scans the system then asks to enter the
product key, but using one from a OEM copy of windows will not work, so I
was wondering if the key MS provides online will work ok on these corp
copies?
